body frame
The chassis and body shell of the vehicle represent the “skeleton” on which we construct our special-purpose equipment. Full compliance with the original vehicle, use of existing restraint systems guarantee the strength and safety of our conversions. The sturdiness and safety of the converted vehicle are guaranteed by reinforcement brackets and plates.
skin
The floor of the patient compartment is made of non-rotting multi-layer phenolic plywood lined with non-slip, non-absorbent unjointed plastic material with a trough-like structure with blue or green finish. The finishing areas, at the accesses to the patient compartment, are fitted with non-slip satin-finished stainless steel scuff-plates.
respiratory equipment
Ventilation and air conditioning are amongst the main features of our converted vehicles. Installation of the system in the roof liner guarantees 30 complete changes of environment air. Ideal temperatures for the ambulance crew and patient are guaranteed by an air conditioner (Autoclima), possibly combined with an additional heating system (Webasto).
circulatory system
The electrical system, commonly known as the “spider”, operates at 12 Vdc with serial BUS type technology for management of electrical devices installed during conversion into ambulance. All electrical wiring consists of non-toxic self-extinguishing cables with fire-proof sheaths in accordance with specific safety and electro-magnetic compatibility regulations.

TRASPORTO DISABILI
The configuration of the electrical system comprises 4 different main lines that power macro-groups of electrical devices:
1
Priority emergency systems (headlights, sirens and perimeter illumination systems)
2
Patient compartment electrical device control system (ceiling lights, surgical lights, perimeter illumination)
3
System for powering and management of the power network (220 Vac, additional battery and inverter)
4
Communication systems (radio, intercom, etc.)
